The Prime Minister, the Attorney General and the Minister of Sports expressed their congratulations for his highly valued management of West Indies Cricket during his tenure; he was invited to become a citizen of Antigua and Barbuda since he has lived in Antigua for more than seven years.

The Cabinet further applauded the outgoing CEO for his work in reviving the Caribbean Premier League, for enhancing the status of cricket among male and female Under 19 and 14 players.

The Manager of the Antigua Falcons has promised to make the team an outstanding side that will cause the nation to feel pride; and, the CEO of the CPL indicated that even more interest will be generated in cricket as a consequence of league playing more professional cricket in our Caribbean region.

  1. People are complaining that oil rich countries like the United Arab Emirates require people to reside in their country continuously for 30 years before being eligible for citizenship. Antigua is showing how easy it is to get their citizenship.

  2. I was wondering the same thing. At least once you could’ve mentioned the person’s name who you are referring to. So people who doesn’t follow cricket would know who you are talking about.

  3. This is very sad for our young local professionals. This guy can now compete against all Antiguans for all the top jobs. When an Antiguan applies for top jobs, (with a degree) he/ she is normally told you don’t have experience . So they then work in the various industries for a number of years and are then told , you don’t have international experience. And then there’s the race factor. Why does our government continually open its doors to these folks? Always keeping to locals down… very very sad. We can’t do this in England or the US,,, he worked for the West Indies Cricket Board,, how come Antigua has to be the one to welcome him?

  4. Bizarre.
Wonder what the unnamed CEO (!) made happen on his watch that benefitted Antigua & various power-brokers pockets?
    Or maybe I’m too cynical.
