Otis Jackson Charged with Unlawful Possession of Firearm & Ammunition
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Saturday, December 13, 2025
The police have arrested and charged 29-year-old Otis Jackson of Ottos in connection with the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Reports indicate that around 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, police officers were on mobile patrol in the Tindall Road area when they intercepted and searched a vehicle occupied by the accused. During the search, officers discovered one (1) 9mm Smith & Wesson pistol along with seven (7) matching rounds of ammunition.
Jackson was subsequently arrested and taken into custody and later formally charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. The firearm and ammunition were seized, and the vehicle was taken to Police Headquarters for safekeeping.
He is expected to appear before the court to answer to the charges.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda continues to intensify its efforts to remove illegal firearms from the nation’s streets and is encouraging members of the public to continue cooperating with the police by providing timely and credible information.
