The 2024 WOW Factor Awards lit up Antigua and Barbuda over the weekend, celebrating excellence in customer service across various sectors. The red-carpet event, spearheaded by Orena Charles, Certified Customer Service Trainer and CEO of iRise Management Services Limited, honored individuals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to customer care in their respective industries.

Among the celebrated winners was Oslyn Gregory of the Cyclones Basketball Club, who clinched the Customer Service Award in the Sports and Education category. Gregory’s contributions to fostering a supportive and engaging environment in sports were recognized as pivotal to the growth and development of the Cyclones Basketball Club.

Carlene Spencer from Sandals Grande Antigua took home the award in the Hospitality and Tourism category, highlighting her commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. Spencer’s dedication to delivering personalized, high-quality service has made her a standout in one of the island’s most competitive industries.

In the Financial Services category, Earl Richards was recognized for his exemplary service at the Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank (ECAB). Richards’ attention to detail and customer-first approach have earned him widespread respect in the financial sector, making him a worthy recipient of this award.

Darshanie Singh of Frank B Armstrong won in the Sales and Marketing category for her innovative strategies and customer-focused initiatives. Singh’s ability to connect with clients and elevate the brand through exceptional service was applauded during the evening’s ceremony.

The WOW Factor Awards, now a highly anticipated event, aims to bring a Grammy or Oscars-like experience to Antigua and Barbuda with a unique Caribbean twist. The brainchild of Orena Charles, the event seeks to recognize customer service professionals across various industries, celebrating the everyday heroes who go above and beyond in their service.

As the winners took the stage to accept their awards, it was clear that the WOW Factor Awards have cemented their place as a prestigious platform for acknowledging excellence in customer service, ensuring that those who make a difference in their industries are given the recognition they deserve.

This year’s event sets the tone for continued celebration of excellence in Antigua and Barbuda, with organizers already looking forward to the next edition, scheduled for October 11, 2025.

  1. This is a brilliant idea. I should offer cash for good customer service in Antigua, but having a yearly award. Maybe then I would get proper and competent service from banks, police, hotels, and others.

I believe I will soon do this.
