If the age of consent is 16 years old, I believe it should stay. I would simply add that no one in authority over a 16 year old may engage in sex with him or her, even with consent. Changing the age at this time will cause serious and worse societal problems than what exist at this moment. Simply limit who can receive consent from a 16 year old. But allowing that same 16 year old to be able to consent to anyone at age 17.
