In a world where geopolitics shapes destinies, nations are often judged by their leaders’ ability to steer their economies and foster stability.

Antigua and Barbuda, a small yet proud nation, is face with a crucial question: could Jamale Pringle, the leader of the opposition, be the one to guide us into a brighter future?

Jamale Pringle has been a popular figure on the political stage for over seven years. His supporters see him as a young man of conviction, committed to change.

However, critics argue that under his leadership, the opposition’s growth has been stagnant, and his vision for the country remains unclear. Has the Hon Jemal Pringle grown enough to demonstrate that he is ready to lead our country?

Leading a nation is serious business—our livelihoods and our children’s future depend on this.

As tensions continue to grow on the global stage, the need for strong communication and decisive leadership becomes even more vital. Can Jemal Pringle rally international allies, stimulate economic growth, and inspire confidence both at home and abroad?

Ultimately, the decision rests with the citizens of Antigua and Barbuda. The question is not just about Jemal Pringle’s ability to lead but about the kind of future we envision for our country.

His own party has been divided since his rise to leadership.

Would we want this for our nation? In leadership, one must be decisive, a clear communicator, brave, compassionate, and disciplined.

Antigua and Barbuda need a strong leader, and I am not sure Hon Jemal Pringle is that person.

  1. Before V for Vendetta comments let me say that JAMAL LARS PRINGLE was the duly elected leader of the UPP. V for Vendetta you can hold your comment 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

  2. @ The author

No, Nobody else can lead Antigua: ONLY GASTON BROWN AND HIS CABAL – GOD HELP US ALL, it therefore goes to reason that Gaston will have to hold on until Price is 18/25 so that he can take over because no one else but GASTON can rule this country.
U GUYS HAVE TO BE CRAZY.

  3. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
    To where???????
If he cannot lead the UPP is not Antigua he will be able to lead.
    Oh, yes..
    On second thought he can
He can lead Antigua to non existence.
He and the party chair has destroyed the party.
I can say with no regret that once he is a part of the party there is need for a new party.
    He has disgraced the UPP.
He and Giselle can form a party.
They can walk with Alister, Wehner, Peters and Jonathan.

  4. It’s an old card ALP been played, they did it with Lester bird, can you guys remember a guy call Raul from freeman’s village now deceased use to calling in on the only 2 radio stations that time , exclaiming oh what a leader Lester was, how he is brilliant and other Caribbean countries need him? That same narrative was used about Gaston as some world boss, and that america need him to run their economy. When in fact our leaders are marionette from colonial time and indoctrinated by these commonwealth meetings organized by our former colonial masters, where they play a paternalistic role to infantilize our leaders and tell them what to do in the interest of white monopoly capital domination, as you can see Gaston is driven by some spirit that’s incongruent to the barbudans and Antiguans to take all Barbuda prestine beach front lands at gun point using the police and military , the PLH even pays for housing for the police in Barbuda, what a conflict, because we no nothing of these Caucasian people, they could be El Chapo cousins,to be giving Barbuda lands to white people to build their homes, why are these white people so entitled and privilege to have there domestic home on a white sandy beach and not the native born of Barbuda? So now back to Pringle, I don’t agree with the upp entitlement philosophy because Pringle was the lone parliamentarian in opposition, we should recognize his inexperienced in politics and history or institutional knowledge, and not be consumed by pheneticism, put you better soldier forward, it’s not up to the party to place there love for personality on the nation, we must look to someone more studious with the institutional capacity to lead this country, well rounded in our history and Africa, Gaston is an opportunist, even though I could describe both political party as centrist political ideology, the UPP tend to be more honest and possess the integrity to provide infrastructure and social programs to benifit the people as happen in PLM time and in V.C. Bird early years when we had statehood, but this present ALP with Gaston motto is self enrichment as Gaston advised upon coming to office in 2014. I hope UPP straighten out there issues because clearly the young man Pringle is just planted upon us, he is not known or ever had any history of involvement in the civics of this country, neither Gaston who’s claim to fame is working at some short lived swiss bank as it’s called that was created by nefarious character for a certain outcome. But in the end Pringle could attend these paternalistic institution like the commonwealth and OAS as a marionette to be instructed and look as great as Gaston, because their brains are harvest at these meetings to become better dealers for white monopoly capital.

  5. Lead Antigua & Barbuda? No.

Lead Antigua & Barbuda to ruin and ridicule? Yes.

Plain and simple, the UPP needs new leadership.

  6. @Anonymous.

Well that very ruin is happening right now,and with no apology as well.
They even find a way to get rid of Asot in all their corruption, so go figure.

Jamal might not be the loudest and smartest in the room(allegedly) but he is no swindling thief in a suit.

UPP will win the next election , and they will put Mr Lewis in that Position.

Nothing against Pringle, but Lewis is a perfect candidate to lead the island.

    Enough said.

  7. We surely wouldn’t have to feel targeted and wonder when we were going to be pulled out of a line at any foreign Airport Terminal simply because of our nationality. The last of the available lands would remain with us and there wouldn’t be any swapping and flipping and 15 year tax holiday for his girl on the side. Maybe we would get the hotel in Barbuda to pay its taxes and not give Pringle US$12 mil. as a payoff. He certainly wouldn’t swindle US$10 mil. from us because he wouldn’t have sold the Alfa Nero, so we would have had no reason to pay any law firm US$900/hr. U.S Authorities would’ve had no cause to publish his name with the likes of Alex Saab Moran of Odebretch fame. If a lunatic can think that he is sane enough to lead, then Pringle is more than capable to do so.

  8. @ Straight Shooter aka WB/

Dimani Tabor: Keep ya self quiet

Bitterness will eat out both of you because he was duly elected

  9. IT IS SAID THAT NOTHING IS DONE IN ALL SAINTS EAST & ST. LUKE BECAUSE THE PEOPLE DIDN'T VOTE LABOR. IT IS SAID THAT NOTHING IS DONE IN ALL SAINTS EAST & ST. LUKE BECAUSE THE PEOPLE DIDN'T VOTE LABOR.

NOW, HERE IS THE QUESTION: IF ABLP IS GOING TO WIN THE NEXT ELECTION, WHY VOTE FOR PRINGLE… TO GET NOTHING DONE FOR ANOTHER FIVE YEARS?

    NONSENSE!!!

  10. The question is ridiculous, even the thought 💭 a frightening.
We are making bad joke when it comes to choosing our leaders
If we ever make that mistake we will surely become the laughing stock of not only the Caribbean but the world.
Not even like how America is now viewed as the laughing stock of the world with their choice of President. They can overcome the shame. We would not be able to overcome it. The man Pringle doesn’t have the intellectual nor political capacity to even lead his party. So how can you the writer even entertain such a question later alone the thought.
You all give me a break. God already saved us once. He cannot keep doing so. I trust the young generation that is having the opportunity to get higher education use their god given brain and get into the politics of their country. After all it is their future we are talking about. Young people pleaser do not be nonchalant about it. I know you may be tired of the politics all over. But that is what democracy is. If you do not participate other will decide your future for you. And remember others before you died for the rights you enjoy today. It didn’t come easy. Please value it. Blood was shed for this

  11. As far as leadership of the opposition is concern I think that a great opportunity was miss when they lost the last general election by just 5 vote’s. Harold Lovell would have emerge as leader of the country, thus allowing more time to groom someone like Pringle as a potential leader for the future

  12. Jamal might not be as accomplished as Gaston but I would bet my bottom dollar he cares more about this country and the people therein than Gaston ever could, with good advisors Antigua could do better than the comedy show we are witnessing.

  13. This must be a rhetorical question…poor Pringle struggles to lead a political party so how could he ever lead a whole nation. ..

  14. @ Born & Bred Antiguan with Pringle as Prime Minister he will not need any advisors since the Chair of the Party Gisele Isaac would really be the Prime Minister. God forbid that that fate should ever befall Antigua and Barbuda.
