GIS ANTIGUA & BARBUDA SAID: The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has accorded the late Mr. Victor Emmanuel McKay, GCM an Official Funeral on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
In this regard flags on all Government buildings in the State and on embassies, missions and consulates overseas shall be flown at half-mast on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 the day of the Official Funeral.
The late Mr. Victor Emmanuel McKay served as Member of Parliament for St. Mary’s South from 1971 t0 1980. He was a member of the Progressive Labour Movement (PLM). He was born and July 1, 1940 and died on January 6, 2025.
The Official Funeral for the late Mr. Victor Emmanuel McKay, GCM will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (Newgate Street) from 10:00am, followed by interment at the St. John’s Public Cemetery.
People attending the funeral are asked to be seated by 9:30am.

Victor Emmanuel McKay known to me as uncle Victor has been a part of my life since 1973 when I was 7 years old. My father (the late Victor Browne ESQ) introduced me to him at a meeting that was held at his home and from day one I became best of friends with his children Louise, Victor Jr and especially Curtis. Uncle Victor has always been a role model to me and an unofficial God Father as well. He was a man of strong Christian ✝️ faith, and was such an excellent father to his children that as a child I use to wish he was my father. Sincere and deepest condolences 🙏 to not just my close friends but my family Aunt Glendina, Louise, Curtis and Victor Jr. May Uncle Victor rest in peace 🙏 and on that glorious say rise in glory 🌄.
