Scores of patrons leaving the 268 de Breakfas’ Fete on Sunday encountered tighter security at the gates, with unauthorized beverages being confiscated as part of new measures introduced by organizers.
The popular event was staged at a new venue this year, where enhanced access controls and revised security procedures were put in place.
Security personnel closely monitored exit points, preventing patrons from taking unauthorized drinks outside the venue.
The heightened security comes with additional costs for promoters, including larger security teams, checkpoint infrastructure and increased gate management.

If I have to okay for breakfast fete. It means that the drinks received is mine to do what I please. If I chose to take my drink home, how could it be illegal? Somebody, help me out here. Is there a rule that all drinks should be consumed inside or on the premises where the fete is held?
People mean that they will get their money’s worth in drinks! So ghetto. The ticket allows you drinks and food inclusive while you’re at the event. It doesn’t entitle you to leave with them to enjoy later. Mas camps need to enforce this also. There is a certain greedy woman who walks with shopping bags containers and foil to pack up “food for tomorrow” when she leaves the Mas camp. Disgusting!

Reading the comments and people are actually justifying theft. I was there early and people were there with Epicurean bags and I was there wondering why Epi giving out bags. You could see the tops of the liquor bottles in the bags. I couldn’t figure it out until someone told me is STEAL people STEALING!

Now, all laws, rules and regulations are based on what is reasonable. What the average reasonable person would think as being fear.
I have heard some fete advertised as all inclusive, all you can eat and drink. I have never heard any advertised as all you can eat and drink on the grounds. But do they really have to. I think no, because a reasonable rational adult would believe that they cannot take stuff away. If Pam is walking out with an unfinished or half empty bottle of water, that should be OK. But Tom walking out with a 6 pack of beer should not be allowed. If you are allowed to walk out with 1 unopened beer, then there is nothing stopping you from walking out with 200 beers.
Did you pay for them. Really. Then pull out 2 Supermarket shopping bag and tell the bar man full them. Or better yet back in your truck and instruct them to load you up.
You go to a bar in ARG. You buy 10 drinks, they are yours, you can take them home. When you bought a ticket you are not buying drinks you are buying an experience.
If the fete advertised that Johnnie Walker Blue would be available and you ask for Blue and they said sorry that finished we only had 1 bottle of that, all we have left is Cavalier, there is nothing you can do. A Judge would agree that yes, the ad was misleading, but did you really expected to pay $300 for a ticket enjoy music, eat five plates of lobster and drink 2 bottles of $ 700 rum.
Some persons may plead that they only have one little bottle of tonic water. But a line has to be drawn somewhere, and the best place to draw that line is at the start.
I will not be surprised if this news item was written or caused to be written by the organizers of the fete. Why, because they want to get the message out.
The mass bands have similar issues. Some mass players go to the trunk take drinks and give to friends outside the band

With the PRICE of these fetes, patrons right to take home drinks. They need to take home food too.
It was much better when Baba first started this, we had a nice group that left Lions, we head up to the grounds, we drink, eat, dance, party, mingled until we tired and all was well. It has now grown into this huge carnival showcase where all and every types are welcome, and the way Wadadli presently is with criminals of all back ground from near and far, it only takes one to make the first move, or come up with the disturbing idea and there you go. As it grows so will the criminal elements.
But why worry when you can pray?…that will be the last $500 that the breakfast fete promoter will get from some people
In my mind, a bottle of barefoot is easier lost than embarrassing/harassing three patrons

The Man from Gray’s Farm gets to lime in the same crowd as the Lawyer from Paradise View….The Lawyer is fine he doesn’t need to take anything he is well off enough he enjoyed himself and that’s enough….the Man from Gray’s Farm really wants his money’s worth and will even think about taking home some food and drinks for later…..Expected….
