The National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) on Friday unveiled seven new garbage compactor trucks, a backhoe, and an excavator during a ceremony at the Department of Environment. The equipment, donated by the Japanese International Corporation System and the Government Investment System, aims to enhance waste collection and improve the efficiency of ongoing drain cleaning projects across the country.
The Japanese International Corporation System contributed one of the compactor trucks and the excavator, while the Government Investment System provided the remaining equipment. This fleet expansion responds to public demand for improved waste management services, with NSWMA officials emphasizing the new tools will help overcome current collection challenges and boost overall operational capacity.
