PARTIAL ROAD CLOSURE: Tuesday 22nd May, 18
This serves as notice to allow for the safety of road users during construction works associated with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project which is a grant being provided by the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund.
From Tuesday 22nd May, 18: Friars Hill Road – Lane Closure.
Phase 2: Between Billy’s Supermarket Entrance and West Indies Oils Pond/Extreme Gym Road
Impact: Northbound lane due to installation of electrical manholes.
Duration: Approximately two (2) Weeks
Lane Closure: Friars Hill Northbound
Diversions: N/A
Sir George Walter Hwy – Lane Closure.
Phase 2: The Solar Energy Farm to Dee’s Service Station.
Impact: Western side of corridor due to the Installation of water mains.
Duration: Approximately one (1) week
Diversions: N/A
Diversion signs will be visible for all road users who are being asked to proceed with caution for the duration of the road works. There will be workers in high visibility reflective gear at the road closure and flag people will be there to direct traffic. Local access will be maintained for road users who are residents and individuals conducting business at the business places within the closure. There will be no parking along main roads or side roads in the area.
