The news Director of Works has shown that all people need is opportunity. Due to his quiet demeanor I did not have him as my choice to replace Mr. Lazy Bluff Crump. I had him probably as my second choice. However, since his ascension to role as Director he has risen to the task and has taken the bull by the horn. Still down to Earth and humble has stepped out of his shell and has become more outspoken.
All I can say now is that you are doing a great job and wish that God will continue to be with you.
A word of caution- You would be able to do much much more if the equipment that are owned and rented by public works are managed better. You need to put someone serious in charge of this area. Not someone that will be taking bribes but someone that will ensure that we get value for money. Too much of the equipment are parked. They are not producing while the operators and in the case of private equipment till getting paid. Too much of the government equipment are not working because of minor repairs or lack of servicing. In the case of private rental equipment they go out on jobs and a parked and still getting paid. Please tighten up in these areas. Also watch your fuel distribution system.
