The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) is intensifying work to clear waterways in communities across Antigua in a bid to reduce flooding during heavy rains.
The initiative, launched in July, is a joint effort involving NODS, the Public Works Department, the National Solid Waste Management Authority, and the Central Board of Health.
Clean-up operations have already been completed in parts of Golden Grove, Cassada Gardens and along Factory Road. Crews will next target Potters, Pigotts, Cedar Grove, Royal Gardens, Fort Road and other flood-prone areas.
