Nearly two weeks after 29-year-old Leyandrew Hubbard was fatally shot in Potters, no arrests or charges have been publicly announced.

Hubbard was reportedly playing cards with several men under a roadside shed on Ladoo Road when a lone gunman opened fire around 10:30 a.m. Another man from Urlings was shot and taken to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre in critical condition.

Police initially said one person was being questioned, but no further update has been provided. The shed remains in place, and gatherings and card games have reportedly resumed there.

Anyone with information should contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914 or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).

  1. No updates on the home invasions, chain snatchers, shootings. The two guys from Hatton with stolen items, the police chase in Swetes, the couple accused of murder, the girl they claimed jumped over devil’s bridge and more whats happening we need answers.

  2. It’s carnival baby. Police too busy in the city, all those investigations on hold for now until after carnival. As I stated before if a man pull up on you and bust some bullets in you without taking anything, ie jewelry or cash and I want to believe cash was on the table, then you wasn’t as clean as one may think. On the other hand, they might be a mad gunman just walking around Wadadli taking out people he don’t like.

  3. Ah cuss pon de Country, devilish people ah run de land. Who no lub hear um too bad, that includes ANR because R U lub censor

  4. The government should get solar powered streetlight with camera combination out of china to replace all existing streetlights system and help the police and government solve crimes.

  5. The persons breaking in businesses, homes, cars and scamming all of you gonna get what’s coming to you. Y’all don’t know about working for what you want so y’all gon suffer and die for friggin with peoples things.

  6. I second the motion about placing cameras in strategic locations. Hey if it’s a self enrichment scheme the decision would have been made long time ago. This is just ridiculous to see a small island like this with so many unsolved crimes- especially murders and missing people.
