The 48th Panorama Competition will showcase nine bands, competing for the 2018 Panorama Championship title.
With controversy behind, the 2018 competition, the fastest growing event in the carnival is expected to be as competitive as previous years.
Eight bands who have practiced for months will try to dethrone the reigning champions Hell’s Gate.
They Original Steel Orchestra; Hadeed Group of Companies/AMP West Side Symphony; Harmonites Steel; East Vibes Steel Orchestra; Cool & Smooth Ebonites Steel Orchestra; West Indies Oil Company Gemonites Steel Orchestra; Halcyon Steel Orchestra; Panache Steel Orchestra, and defending champions, FLOW Hells Gate Steel Orchestra.
On its new night, the ACB Victor “Babu” Samuel Panorama Competition will be staged on Saturday 4 th August at Carnival City beginning at 8pm.
