Lawmen tonight commenced investigations into an apparent hit and run which occurred on the junction of Kentish Road and Grey Hill Road.

The incident occurred just after 7 p.m and involved at least two women one of whom appeared to be badly injured.

They were transported to the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre in an ambulance after being struck down by a Suzuki car.

The women were reportedly walking along the road when the car turned the corner and collided with them, knocking them to the ground.

Up until news time, the driver of the vehicle was not located.

However, when we arrived on the scene the wrecker was removing a vehicle from the area.

Police say they continue to investigate the matter.

  1. I have been making comments and sending messages to Government ministers via social media and telling police officers and transport board to install speed bumps on grey hill main road for a very long time until this happen which I saw was coming because of negligence from those so called in charge . This road has become so busy over the last four years that drivers take advantage of , not considering that two schools are located on this road (Temple Academy & Cuddles day care ) also little children fron Green Bay school , Jennings secondary and many more kids and Pedestrians who use this road to reach their destination and someday one might not make it home safely. This road is too narrow to be speeding like that , the drivers will come down from cooks hill with top speed beyond their limits and speed down this stretch of road without caution , I call on those in charge to install speed bumps immediately or another accident will happen , I have seen more that 18 vehicular accidents or collision on this road over the past ten years . Please I’m sending out this message to those in charge to remember those foot Pedestrians who don’t have a car.

    • Speed bumps will cause the driver of the “hit and run” to remain on the spot and ensure the victims are okay and/or receive medical assistance?

  2. We don’t need anymore speed bumps. What we really need. Is law enforcement. We need the traffic policmen to be on the road patrolling 24/7 and giving wreckless and dangerous drivers tickets and taking g away their driver license when we break the road laws and when we litter indiscriminately. Not more speed bumps the traffic is already backed up as it is.

  3. Why do innocent people have to suffer for the guilty encouraging the police to harrass people is not the solution we dont know what happen it seems that the fact that the person run they probably dont have a licence why must people who qualify for they licence be stop every minute because of other foolish people choice they parents and the people who lend them vehicle with out they having a licence should be harrass
