(Press Release)

The Antigua and Barbuda Reparations Support Commission (ABRSC), in pursuit of its education and public awareness responsibilities, will donate a collection of forty books pertaining to the ‘Reparations for slavery and colonialism’ to the Public Library with the aim of establishing a ‘Reparations Section’ therein. ABRSC is committed to constantly expand the collection.

The collection includes literature with themes relevant to the socio-economical, cultural and political history of Africa, the Caribbean and the African Diaspora that enlighten and support the commitment of CARICOM Heads of Government to pursue reparations from those countries complicit in the European slave trade, slavery, deceptive indentureship and colonialism.

The presentation takes place at the Public Library on Monday 05th November 2018 from 10am-12noon. ABRSC humbly invites your media house to cover the event as we believe that is important for the public be made aware of this drive towards not only reparations, but also the education of our people as whole.
