The outrider accompanying the Governor General’s convoy was struck down in an accident earlier today.

The driver – a police Constable  – sustained minor injuries but was noticeably shaken up.

The accident happened when the GG’s convoy was travelling around the roundabout right outside of Government House.

The rider collided with a motorist in a Range Rover who was also using the roundabout.

  1. He was not seriously hurt. The real bruise was to his pride and ego. This too shall pass. Keep your head up.

  2. Surprised.NOT… They way the ride is ridiculous ,, they are going to kill someone on the Friars Hill road hill, they drive either down or up the middle, on the hill and blind curve, forcing other drivers to drive off the road. There is NO place in Antigua they have to be so fast that it warrants taking people’s lives on the way ( including theirs). And they are doing the priority crap through construction on all the roads, where there is already no room for error while driving
