McCauley Puts Up A Tough Fight, Loses Bid to Become Caribbean Wellness Ambassador

3

After a period of intense competition, Aidan McCauley has failed in his bid to become Caribbean Wellness Ambassador.

He was defeated by the competitor from St. Vincent and the Grenadines Lindon James. The two men were toe to toe over the weekend, but a last-minute surge saw the Vincentian amassing the highest number of votes.

James won with 8384 votes while McCauley got 7618. Both men mounted impressive campaigns to encourage the public to vote.

The activity was organised by the Caribbean Tourism Organisation as part of the programme of activities for the Caribbean Year of Wellness & Rejuvenation.

The CTO has been featuring people who drive the wellness programmes in Caribbean Tourism Organization member countries. These wellness ambassadors perform extraordinary functions to promote wellness among residents and visitors alike.

  1. What can it really mean to be an ambassador by virtue of such a casual vote! Sounds like a computer version of one of those online celebrity shows.

    • Same thing I was asking. There seem to have been more promotion of election rather than the wellness activities. It all seems faddy.
