Sixty-one-year-old Meryl Chiddick is on trial in the High Court for the murder of farmer, Conroy Andrew.

Prosecutors alleged Chiddick shot and killed Andrew at his farm in Liberta on November 10, 2014.

Twenty-three-year-old Aundrey Joseph was initially charged with murder alongside Chiddick.

However, he pleaded guilty to manslaughter and testified against Chiddick at the trial.

According to Joseph, Chiddick asked him to follow him “on a move” and they both went by bus to Swetes village.

He testified Chiddick led him in some bushes and they eventually arrive at the yard of a tall black rastaman.

The witness said Chiddick told him to wait as he moved toward the rastaman who had a cutlass in his hand.

Joseph said he heard a signal gunshot, then four others before Chiddick ran back and said he killed the man.

He also recalled seeing the deceased’s body rolling on the ground.

The witness testified the next day Chiddick threatened to kill him if he told anyone about the shooting.

The trial with resume in the High Court on Wednesday.

  1. Imagine traveling on a passenger bus with a gun to commit crime….you had 20 mins to even change your mind …heart of men are so cold and evil with no regards for life (your life, the person life and those of your relatives)
