The Cabinet says it is pleased with a report given by the company that will dredge the deep water harbour.

The firm, known as Meridian, will also make changes to the seabed south of the Nevis Street pier. That area will be swept clean and deepened, in order to make way for vessels requiring a deeper draught.

The firm reported that it has mobilized the equipment needed to begin the dredging works, and that it has also purchased a variety of piles required to complete the works successfully.

The Cabinet says it was pleased with the report.
