DNA wants to know where PM’s wife’s charity gets its money

The new opposition Democratic National Alliance (DNA) has put an Antigua Barbuda Labour Party candidate on notice that it intends to investigate her charity Share Inc.

The charity of Maria Browne recently donated $10,000 to the rowers in the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge.

Speaking at a recent function, DNA candidate Anthony Stuart says there are questions for Share Inc to answer.

“The question we are asking from the Democratic National Alliance is from whom and how did share foundation get its funding. Where are those monies coming from?”

He said Share appears to be a foundation with “deep pockets and I don’t believe its a foundation is to fund a political campaign.”

Stuart wants Share Inc to follow the law and give an account of the monies raised and spent to date.

“At the appropriate time, according to the Friendly Societies Act, they must give an accounting of the monies collected and how the monies are spent.”

An accountant by profession, Stuart has vowed to “dig deep” into the operations of the Share Inc.

“Because we going to examine and we want to know who are the donors to share and where are those millions coming from,” he said.

  1. Mr Stuart while I agree with you to ask where is this money coming from I have a question for u
Where is the money from St. John’s Development when you were the chairman
You made it your duty to constantly collect the rent from the vendors in the Vendors Mall, Public and Carft Market and Heritage Quay store owners and yet no account was given for these monies look toward to hear from.you

    • Really Is that what he did. Honestly I don’t believe because he would be in jail. ABLP goes after smallest thing they can find out about the opposition.Give me a break.

      • I said it before and I’ll say it again
If the people of Antigua and Barbuda hated the ABLP they should haven never been voted back into power no matter how much the UPP messed up and not only did they win in 2014 look and how massive the defeat was .
        Chupzzz

  3. What if share Inc was some other family with no political affiliation that you know of. Would you still be asking for records?

  4. i think DNA stands( D) Dont get

    (A) Ah Vote

Ablp not perfect but from my observation look on construction industry its booming with work in upp time certain people use to work days look at taxi men they never get full trips in years . people u know what u have u dont know what u going get. people working on the roadside cleaning before was a tracktor getting the work. only downside i see with ablp sometimes payments are not paid on time. i dont vote but anyone with commonsense can see ablp way better than upp. by the way who the hell go make harold failure lovel pm. or a rooky joanne massiah. we tired of politician playing poliltics just tell us how u can make antigua great and stop divide the people. slandering each other names. lets hear dna plan if u all have one. cause up to now i dont see no politician bring none on the table for the youths.
