Delightful back in business

Delightful  Restaurant Kitchen on Old Parham Road has been the nod of approval to re-commence operations.

This is after the Chinese joint was forced to close temporarily after photos surfaced of food being prepared in unsanitary conditions.

According to reports, the Central Board of Health subsequently dispatched its health inspectors to the restaurant’s kitchen, where they found several violations that ranged from poor refrigeration of food, cracked walls and poor sewerage and waste water disposal.

Acting Chief Health Inspector, Sharon Martin, says the restaurant was made aware of the violations and following several visits by inspectors to the establishment, they are satisfied that the CBH’s requirements were met for re-opening.

Delightful reopened over the weekend.

  1. Were they required to go through the food handlers process again. That should be a requirement for the establishments every time they are closed down not just have them do a little cleaning. Put some money in the government pockets and hopefully let them think twice before breaking the rules again.

  2. Don’t let this distract you from the fact that ANR has not published a “Dear Kate” letter up to now. C’mon get with the program. Many people look forward to that column.

    • Dear Kate. I used to eat from delightful. I know the owners personally. Should I ask for an apology and an explanation. Or just fade and never go back.

  3. I dont think they can ever change from their nastiness, nobody gonna be there to watch them around the clock. Nobody should buy food from them
