Danny and ‘Pretty Boy’ back home

The two football officials freed of drug charges in Jamaica last week returned to Antigua last night to a VIP welcome.

Danny Benjamin and Derrick “Pretty Boy” Edwards have been in Jamaica for almost three months fighting what they said to be wrongful possession of drugs charges.

The charges were dropped last week.

When the emotional men arrived at the VC Bird International Airport last night they were greeted by family members, friends, government officials and members of the football fraternity.

Football Association President Everton “Batow” Gonsalves said the two men were provided with the finest legal representation that money can buy.

Sports Minister Daryll Matthew says he is pleased that the situation has a happy ending.

He praised the men for maintaining the faith throughout the ordeal.
