Bodies Of Two Antiguans Found In St Maarten Waters

The bodies of two Antiguan men have been found floating in the waters off St. Maarten, sources on the island have said.

Yesterday, the police were busy pulling out another dead body at Lucas Bay Oyster Pond.

Antigua police are confirming that the bodies of Pedro Jerome Potter and Ozandee Benjamin are the men in question. Potter’s body was found at 9:30 am, whiles Benjamin’s was found later on Tuesday evening.

Colonel Sebastien Monzoni confirmed that a second body has been found and law enforcement officers are busy retrieving the corpse.

He said the body is that of a male probably of Caribbean decent. Our source later confirmed he is Antiguan.

On Tuesday during the morning hours, Gendarmes fished out the lifeless body of an unknown male from Lucas Bay Oyster Pond. An investigation is currently underway.

  2. Were they looking Oysters? Were they fishermen? Can anyone confirm their departure from anu and by what means? Was a boat recovered? Were there any injuries to the bodies? Could they have been caught out during the recent storm? Just asking bcuz the report is quite vague on information.
