The transgender woman who was killed in Potters yesterday was reportedly told by her best friend and fellow transgender to leave her abusive lover.
Stansha “Tranz” Barbie said she told Angel whose real name is Arnold Joseph to leave her boyfriend.
In a Facebook live video Barbie said, “you know how much time I have to talk to Angel about this (inaudible) boy.”
“I always tell her angel that boy is going to kill you,” she added.
Angel was stabbed to death in the Potters apartment which she shared with her boyfriend.
Neighbour Shem Matthew also indicated that the two were in an abusive relationship.
Matthew said the couple were in an argument the very morning of the murder.
“They were making noise,” he told reporters adding that he has had to warn the couple about the noise in the apartment complex.
Matthew also said he is aware that the boyfriend who has since turned himself over to the police, threatened to kill his transgender lover.
“The guy keep on threatening the girl telling her to leave or else he will kill her.”
Matthew said he received the news of the killing from his wife but never knew that his neighbour was transgender.
Police are investigating.

Why is everyone stuck on the fact the deceased was transgendered? Does every report have to state her the life she choose. A life was lost through domestic abuse, let’s focus on that.

A human life was taken! And that’s the issue. Period. The other things are secondary. But what struck me was the fact that the neighbour who had intervened in the couple’s disputes on multiple occasions did not know that one partner was a trans! This is telling on the kinds of communities we now have. Nobody knows ‘nobody’ anymore. Sad! I’m dumbstruck! These are two young persons whom I’ve interacted with personally for over a decade. Life is so unpredictable! Never imagined such a chapter in their lives! Both were well-behaved primary school students. Arnal always had a pleasant smile. Timothy was always willing to learn. God help our young people! Adults, memba: when u neighbour house ah bun, wet fu you… come on, cast the first stone!
