Barbudan students receive CXC scholarships

1

Twenty students of the Sir McChesney George Secondary School in Barbuda have had their CXC exams paid for by the Abundant life Ministries in collaboration with the friends of Clifton François of the Barbuda channel.

Parents of the St Matthews, St Georges Secondary School appealed to Francois for aid. Last Friday 7 December 2018, he subsequently paid for the students’ CXC examination fees.

“A need came to us to have us assist parents to help pay for the CXC fees,” explained François of the donation.

“We had a meeting with a lot of the parents and some of them are still in the rebuilding process.”

The partnership between the Abundant Life Ministries and Francois aims to build the morale of Barbudans and be a beacon of light to the community.  They aim to take one expense out of the pockets of the parents and help in the rebuilding process of Barbuda.

“They really were grateful, and they really poured out that we were really of great help to them.”

“A mind is a terrible thing to waste”!
Nevertheless; there are absolutely no comments whatsoever from the major players in government, or the Ministry of Education nor the wider Community.
What a burning shame and disgrace!
Against such back drop, my dear family and I, sincerely commend and extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciations to Abundant Life Ministeries and Mr Clinton Francois, for their kind and charitable gestures.
