After years of delay, the operators of Barbuda Air Service say the airline is finally ready to begin flying between the mainland and the sister-isle.

The service will commence on July 30th, 2018 according to a press release from Caribbean Helicopters Limited.

The company says it will be offering affordable airfare between Antigua and Barbuda.

One-way airfare will be $120.00EC/ Round Trip $240.00EC. Weekly flight schedule to start will be as follows Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with 2 flights a day on each of these days.

Barbuda Air Service operated by FLYCHL will also be offering Air Cargo service in addition to passenger flights.

It has taken the airline years to formally begin the service after some test flights in 2015. Barbuda Air later got approval from regulators but the exact reasons for the nearly three-year delay are still unknown.
