Trevor Este of All Saints

PRESS RELEASE

Trevor Este of All Saints was convicted and fined $1,000 in All Saints Magistrate’s Court for Impersonating a Police Officer on Wednesday. He appeared before Magistrate Emmanuel and was ordered to pay the fine forthwith, or serve two months in prison.

The Court heard that in January of 2015, he went to the home of a man in John Hughes, and pretended to be a police officer within the Sexual Offences Unit, conducting investigations into a rape case. He went as far as demanding money from the John Hughes resident to dispose of the case before it reaches the Court. The man, who has never been implicated in any offence, reported the matter to the police, and he was arrested and charged and taken before the Court and was granted bail. However, in February of this year, he breached his bail conditions and he was arrested and remanded to prison.

Este is well-known to the police, having being in police custody on numerous occasions and questioned in connection with committing a number of serious offences.
