NEW LIONS AND LEO CLUBS OFFICERS INSTALLED
An installation ceremony was held on 5th July 2025 at 4:00pm at Indies Green, Sea View Farm for incoming officers of the Antigua Lions Club and Antigua Leo Club. Lion Ileathea Cabral, MJF was elected as the Lions Club president for 2025-2026.
The Lion President’s Theme will be “Inspiring Future Generations Through Extraordinary Service.” Leo Adell Daniel was elected as the Leo Club president for 2025-2026.
The Leo President’s Theme will be “Anchored In Service, Fueled By Heart.”
The Lions Club has installed a new Board of Directors. Lion Rosyln Zachariah MJF was elected to serve as the new club secretary. The club’s 1st Vice-President will be Lion Gail Henry Lewis MJF, and the club’s 2nd Vice President will be Lion C. Trystan Williams MJF. Rounding out the Board of Directors are Lion Monique Joseph, Treasurer; Lion Kim Joseph PMJF, LCIF Coordinator; Lion Leandra Lewis PMJF, Membership Director; Lion Trevor Ngorosha, Service Chairperson; Lion Shivawn Ellis-Richards, Tail Twister; and Lion Loveness Ngorosha, Lion Tamer.
The Leo Club also installed a new Board of Directors.
Leo Yanik Josiah was elected to serve as the new club secretary. The club’s 1st Vice-President will be Leo Jevonte Spencer. The club’s Treasurer will be Leo-Lion Kenford James.
The Lion and Leo Clubs of Antigua 2025-2026 Installation Dinner and Raffle was an event to remember.
Lion Jacintha Pringle was the Mistress of Ceremonies.
Lion Ileathea Cabral was named the Lion of the Year, which embodies dedicated service to the club and the community. Cabral also earned the prestigious designation of Melvin Jones Fellow, one of the highest honors in Lionism.
The President’s Appreciation Awards were given by Past President Lion Kim Joseph PMJF to Lion Trevor Ngorosha, Lion Loveness Ngorosha, Lion Valerie Gonsalves-Barriero MM MJF, Lion Leslie Ephraim PMJF, Lion Desire’e Edwards MJF, Lion Ileathea Cabral MJF, and Lion Roslyn Zachariah MJF.
Several other members received committee certificates. Both the Lions and Leo Presidents gave their inaugural addresses to their members.
Lion Ileathea Cabral MJF, Club President, shared, “I stand ready to lead as the 57th President, I do so with deep appreciation for the foundation laid by those who came before me, and a firm commitment to the journey that lies ahead.”
Since the club’s chartering in 1968, its members have worked on a variety of projects in the local community, such as Annual Prostate Screenings, Clarevue Hospital Visits, Child Cancer Awareness Projects, World Diabetes Day Awareness Projects, Community Garden, Community Cleanups, and so much more.
Proceeds from past fundraising events have gone to eyeglasses donations, hot meals distributions, and assisting families in need.
The club is currently preparing for upcoming projects and fundraisers.
The Antigua Lions Club has 68members and meets on the First and Third Tuesdays of each monthat 8:00pm at the Lions Den. Lions Clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.
