Less than a month after the Lady Caroline Ferry Service begun operating between Antigua and Barbuda, the company is discontinuing its service.
A post on the company’s Facebook page on Friday told customers operations will cease effective August 11.
The post provided no details as to sudden closure of the service only citing unforeseen circumstances as the reason.
The notice triggered responses from several users of the social media platform; many expressing surprise and displeasure at the news.
The company, which is marketed as luxurious and affordable, began operating in the country in late July to the fanfare of several tourism officials.
