Nelson’s Dockyard National Park Declared Noise Abatement Zone

I am confused. Is it only Dockyard or the entire National Park? Dockyard, which is Ann Marie’s Queendom, fine. But if it is the whole area controlled by National Parks then we have the potential for an economic disaster that will spread through the economy. Food and drinks distributors will sell less. So less staff will be required. Some staff will be let go. Hours of bands, DJs, bar and kitchen staff will work less hours. The Yachting will not be happy. But heck. The rich white homeowners will enjoy their peace and quiet which is what this is really about. Keep the black people from town out of National Parks property.

So what happens to local residents who are suffering? Don’t we need a noise free zone too? We talk about Black Lives Matter and about people being racist but we are racist against our own people. The powers that rule are always ready to defend and protect the elites. I have seen local in different communities call in on radio and write about noise pollution in their neighborhoods but never heard point, ottos, bolans etc are noise abatement zones. Do better for the local citizens. Our Black Lives Matter!!

This is by far the most ridiculous thing I’ve read. Did you all really study this before making such big decision? Did you really study how many lives would be affected?

It is about time we bring this lawless area under control!

Anyone who is against this move is not being genuine, but have a dysfunctional view of the responsibilities of being a citizen of this country!

The #Burr_Grass Effect and most definitely, the Giant African Snail Effect will be running like wildfire through the ENTERTAINMENT, BAR/RESTAURANT, #KARNAH_SHAP, #POP_UP_TRAY, #HUSKSTAH, #SEX_PARLOUR, CHURCH INDUSTRY!

The Nation is growing and with growth comes changes to a civil society, and any civil society has to be guided and regulated, by policies, covenants, laws who’ll will never please all, yet are appropriately serving all.

To make this a race, class, neighborhood issue is understandable but, the rhetoric has to move out of this realm of reasoning.

There’s a simple, very simple reason why the Essence of Nature’s ether has dark/light, night/day, on/off. Regardless, of what we enhance to advance the capacity of HUEmans to exist in the complete cycle of dark/light, night/day (mostly for economic reasons, greed), the HUEman is not a natural nocturnal animal and no amount of adjustment by artificial light or ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE can change this.
The most vulnerable and but valuable cycles of life, childhood, senior-hood and the FAMILY UNIT are the ones most affected by NOISE POLLUTION.

Again HUEman Civil society must be regulated to create civility not CALAMITY.

English Harbour has been the biggest party zone in Antigua for donkey years. Who really out their mind. Bye yatties!

I have a suggestion for all the entertainment operators in English Harbour. The Regulation specifies music. So employ some fire and brimstone
preachers to start preaching using the same sound system. Let them preach from midnight to 5am. Let’s see if NPA will ascertain that the word of God is a noise nuisance.
