National Youth Parliament Association Urges Young Voters in St. Peter to Participate in By-Election
The National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda (NYPAAB) is calling on all young voters in the Constituency of St. Peter to actively participate in the upcoming by-election.
This election presents a unique opportunity for young people to make their voices heard and contribute meaningfully to the democratic process.
As youth, we hold the power to shape the future of Antigua and Barbuda. By casting our votes, we assert our role as active citizens committed to the development of our communities and our nation.
The upcoming by-election is not just about selecting a representative for St. Peter; it is about reaffirming our collective belief in the values of democracy, transparency, and good governance.
The NYPAAB remains steadfast in its mission to empower young people to engage in civic and political life. As part of this effort, the Association will host voter education initiatives to raise awareness about the importance of voting.
Additionally, members of the NYPAAB will be visiting communities within St. Peter to encourage young voters to turn out on Election Day and to remind them that their vote is their voice.
We urge all first-time voters, particularly our peers in St. Peter, to embrace this opportunity. Let us show that youth are not indifferent but are instead passionate advocates for positive change.

Youths please don’t bother with them, vote in blocks instead of individually where they can pick you off for a soda and bread, if you for blocks like gangs your demands would be met, so if you have 4 voting block in the constituency, you allocate specific community needs to each sector and that is bound to be effective, and that will prevent the politicians from lying and fooling us every election, we like asot Michael because we like white supervision which is detrimental to us black people, you can see the condition of st Peter’s after asot been there for decades, also you see the same thing in st Phillips north where white supervision creates the situation then they come with the solution, big parties and ham and turkey give out and small petty cash that keeps you poor all the time and dependent on the politicians, I think the people of st Peter’s should vote the opposition to teach the ALP a lesson.
