The Ministry of Education, Sports and the Creative Industries wishes to announce that the 2021 National Sports Honours Awards Ceremony has been postponed until further notice.

Last year, the Ministry announced that due to the challenging effects of COVID-19, sporting activities in Antigua and Barbuda were affected immensely, and as a result, competitive sports was put on hold.

Nonetheless, the Department of Sports saw the need to highlight and showcase sporting stakeholders for their outstanding achievements in sports, over the years, in Antigua and Barbuda.

As such, in lieu of the 2020 National Sports Awards, the Ministry will host a ‘National Sports Honours’ Awards Ceremony, on a new date to be announced subsequently, by the Department of Sports.
