With the cancellation of the annual Champagne Party, the National Parks Authority is offering free entry into the Nelson’s Dockyard on Christmas Day.
Guided by the health protocols that have been introduced by the government to prevent the spread of Covid 19, the NPA found it prudent to cancel the activity this year.
The Champagne Party traditionally generates funds in support of the chosen charities of the Hourglass Foundation through the sale of champagne and the gate receipts go towards the upkeep of the National Park.
The Dockyard will however remain open with free entry to all on Christmas Day for families to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the relaxing atmosphere.
Restaurants, guided by the established protocols, will be open and are hosting separate events.
The Copper and Lumber Historic Inn will hold its traditional Christmas Feast and will introduce live entertainment for the first time this year. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 1-268-460-1058 or by sending an email to [email protected]
