Authorities and community members in Antigua and Barbuda are intensifying efforts to locate LGBTQ+ activist Orden “Passo” David, who mysteriously disappeared on Saturday, January 25.
Despite extensive searches, no significant leads have emerged, deepening concerns about his whereabouts.
David, 39, was last seen in St. John’s wearing a red vest and grey short jeans. He was driving a black Honda Fit with registration number A60870. His family became alarmed when repeated calls to his mobile phone went unanswered, prompting them to report him missing to the Bolans Police Station the following day.
A coordinated search effort, spearheaded by Senator Dwayne George, has included David’s relatives, friends, and colleagues from the AIDS Secretariat. The group has combed through areas in and around Bolans, including Sandals Resort, Burma, and Yeptons. Attention was particularly focused on a location near Bolans where two burnt vehicles were discovered, reportedly near the last known signal from David’s phone. However, no conclusive evidence has been found linking these vehicles to his disappearance.
David is a well-known advocate for LGBTQ+ rights in Antigua and Barbuda. He played a key role in the successful 2022 legal challenge that struck down sections of the 1995 Sexual Offences Act, which criminalized same-sex relationships. As president of the organization Meeting Emotional and Social Needs Holistically (MESH), he has been instrumental in providing support and resources to LGBTQ+ individuals and sex workers in the country.
His disappearance has sparked widespread concern both locally and internationally. The Eastern Caribbean Alliance for Diversity and Equality (ECADE) has issued a public appeal for information, underscoring the significance of David’s activism in advancing human rights in the region.
Authorities have urged anyone with knowledge of David’s whereabouts to contact the Bolans Police Station at 462-1080 or the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913. The search remains ongoing, with friends and supporters holding onto hope for his safe return.

Question his partner
The authorities are doing their best, and I commend their continued efforts to find him. However, the fact that there are still no answers after this time raises questions about the effectiveness of the search efforts. Could there be a need for more resources or new strategies? The public deserves more clarity on the steps being taken and a transparent update on the progress. Every day without answers only deepens the mystery and the anxiety for his loved ones.
The lack of developments is frustrating, and it’s important for the authorities to reassure the public that all avenues are being explored thoroughly.
Right now people is not feeling safe in little antigua what’s going on all them people just going missing so no one see any thing where is his vehicle missing cannot be fond is it some one taking parts of the vehicle and do something with this loving person why why heart hurts and cannot sleep it is scary
well then go to St. Kitts, Trinidad or Jamaica!!!
I notice ANR only mentioned the search party that Dwayne George was a part of, are you certain he was the organizer, wasn’t there other search parties or ANR might be trying to release some of the WIND out of his enormous BAG
