My Addiction
1. I am sitting in my car in the rain listening to Observer Radio. Some callers to the radio program are raining blows on Covid and vaccines. Should I call in and try to rein them in, or should I turn off the radio and enjoy the sound and sight of the rain?
2. Change the station. No. I cannot do that. I am an addict. I have an addiction to hearing nonsense so I can turn it into sense. I have this addiction because the scientific truth, as much as it can be determined to be the truth, sets off an evaporating freedom inside me. This freedom rescued me as a schoolchild when my entire world of family and friends was falling apart.
3. We are living in very interesting times. We say this all the time in all eras. The rise of social media and our addicted engagement with them have magnified deep-seated pathologies that we have to understand or at least admit, lest we get lost in a world of nonsense.
4. Misinformation: “false information that is spread, regardless of whether there is intent to mislead.”
5. Disinformation: “deliberately misleading or biased information; manipulated narrative or facts; propaganda.”
6. Misinformation is relatively easy to counter. The light of truth from scientific evidence, empathy for the misinformed, and reasoning can often sort this out.
7. Disinformation has been with us for ages but it has grown exponentially with the rise of social media. Many and probably all dis-informers of Covid and vaccines are addicts. Many of them are high-ranking doctors and scientists. Yes, many of them are high-ranking doctors and scientists.
8. To get a glimpse into the world of disinformation and its practitioners we have to understand addiction.
9. When we regard someone with a drug addiction, we have to understand that the drug is not the problem. To the addict, the drug is the perceived solution to an underlying problem. If the underlying problem is not regarded and handled, there will be no cure.
The underlying pathology is often a matter of self-worth or some issue with the self.
10. It might be surprising to many, as it was to me initially, that many of the purveyors of disinformation about Covid and vaccines are doctors and scientists.
11. The bedrock of science is doubt. Where there is no doubt there is no science. There is a scientific process to investigate doubt. We live in an age where the market of disinformation is occupied by some who have forsaken or skewed the scientific process of investigation.
12. Some of them have a plethora of degrees behind their names. They remind me of a verse in an extempore calypso I attempted on campus by referencing a student who was at the university for many, many, too many years.
13. It went something like this ( name of the student withheld): I hear so and so on campus for so long; he force me to compose this song; by now he has so much degree; Fahrenheit and Centigrade have to hide from he!
14. It’s not my job, or maybe not your job either, to discover the underlying personal pathology that drives these dis-informers to do what they do. They probably get immense joy from seeing you sweat from trying to sort them out.
15. My humble task is to tell you that they exist and that they come in all shapes and sizes and guises and disguises. The solution is not to shut them out or to weed them out. Let them “talk as you like” until the dazzling light of truth shines through.
16. In the while please be aware and cautious of what you read, see, hear, and say, regardless of its origin; including “this information”.

It is my studied belief that the internet and social media are the worst things that have happened to mankind, and they will eventually lead to our extinction, maybe more sooner than later.
While I would admit that there are good uses of both platforms, I think the harm and damage outweigh the good. Like you said, Doc, it is amazing to see the lettered people who indulge in the perpetuation of disinformation. What we have to remember though is it is all about likes, their fifteen minutes of fame, their pleasure at creating shock and the eventual pay outs from their podcasts, etc.
Science is no longer the clincher. It is who says what is said. It leaves one to come to the conclusion that with all the learning we have access to, we are still as dumb as the rock we first emerged from under.
All this vaccines are bad story that is being told is amazing. It is like being at a funeral and watching the loved ones of the decease sobbing and weeping, while those who have no connection nor close ties are talking and maybe laughing at things that are said.
Wait until they get sick and need a vaccine to save their life.
With all due respect… A pathologist is not a vaccine expert. Hence his opinion on the matter does not carry any more weight than any other lettered person who is also not a vaccine expert. Some vaccine experts opposed the vaccines whilst others supported them. The public is free to hear both sides and make up their own minds. A pathologist (MD) is also not necessarily a research scientist (PhD). In the world of research, scientists debate one another all the time before (and even after) their papers get published. They do this with no ill will to one another because they are trying to get to the TRUTH. The vaccines were rolled out with incomplete research compared to other vaccines. So, some of this debate has taken place in public. This is not mis or disinformation. The only scientific thing that can truthfully be said at this point is that long term effects are unknown because of lack of sufficient data. Finally, a pathologist is not a psychiatrist or psychologist. No studies have concluded that antivax persons are addicts. That is just the writer’s opinion… Or is that some mis or disinformation?

The covid virus caused:
Increased blood clotting
Hormone imbalance
Hormone readjustment
Inflammation a catalyst for malignant change
So what we have now is a ‘who done it’: the real viral particles or the simulated ones
All I said was the jury is still out on the vaccine so stop vilifying the people who question it… I didn’t say I was on either side… The only person I personally know who died during the pandemic died from clotting directly after taking the vaccine. I don’t personally know someone who died from Covid. However, I would never base my judgements on my personal anecdotal experience, I would wait to look at aggregated data or cold hard facts… Convince me one way or the other with those not your personal opinion.

So when uneducated people cast doubt on the shot…it’s a problem. When genuine doctors ( including the one who developed the technology), speak out…it’s a problem.
Did you READ Pfizer’s application to the FDA?
–Did you see the 8 pages of side-effects, which included COVID-19
–Did you see where it caused more spontaneous abortions than the abortion pill?
-Have you seen the strange increase in Heart conditions which just happened to coincide with the vaxx rollout?
-Do you know that Australia is now having to admit that there is a link between increases in cancer and the shots?
-Did you see the clear evidence from the US defense medical database (before they tried to fudge it)
-Look up Dr Ryan Cole, he’s a pathologist and he pulled clots out of vaccinated cadavers, sometimes 2 feet long.
-Even a large number of nurses refused it here. They uneducated too? I have physicians that tell me quietly, they are guilty of MURDER!
-What about the much better alternatives, both natural and conventional that they eventually had to admit existed?
Let’s face it, we all know someone who has been injured of even died after taking this thing so stop trying to gaslight us…and all this, for a disease with a 97% survival rate…WITHOUT TREATMENT.
Most of you don’t know the vaccines were in trials for over a year AFTER they were forced on the public. They were experimenting on you all the time!! Another conspiracy theory proven…you’re welcomed. The only reason most healthy unvaxxed people died of COVID is they killed them in the hospital with their special protocols so they could collect COVID aid funds from medicare.

Dr Simon this is an interesting article and three of your points stands out to me: 6, 10 and 16.
6. “The light of truth from scientific evidence, empathy for the misinformed”. You must agree that when the Covid Vaccines started, there we no scientific evidence to support that the vaccines will not be harmful – we were all used as testers.

So many doctors, like yourself, and even scientist were against the vaccine and because they were against the vaccine they view is considered as misinformation? Most of the scientist were concerned that the very nature a virus is that it will mutate and even though a vaccine it done, it wont last because it will not be effective against the mutated virus. So far, that has pretty much help up as the truth.

You appear to be a supporter of the vaccine and therefore you find information regarding the benefits of the vaccine to be your truth. However, your truth could be misinformation.
I stand with my view, the vaccine should not have been mandated. As a doctor, you more than likely would have taken a course ‘The disease of medicine’ and all medications have their side effects and affects us differently. What may help you, could kill me. Some of us are in sync with our bodies, which tells us what is good or bad.
There was not clear benefits of vaccinated all these people. The countries with the lowest vaccination rate is still surviving as the countries with the highest rate. Our bodies will eventually build the immunity to viruses. The Spanish flu from over 100 years is still around, it just does not affect us in the same way – and Covid will be around too. Just as Donald Trump said, all of us will eventually catch it (and that was a truth).
