After being convicted of the murder of Robinson Roberts nearly three years ago, Jeffrey Daniel, 29, has been handed a lengthy 20-year prison sentence by the country’s High Court. The incident occurred during an altercation at Roberts’ home in May 2021, where the 56-year-old stepfather of Daniel’s ex-girlfriend lost his life.

The late November verdict marked Daniel as guilty in the country’s first-ever judge-only murder trial.
