Murder accused Shawn Mussington testified on Wednesday about his complex relationship with Simone Whyte-Barrington, expressing regret over her death.

Mussington, in the witness box, said he had been a loving partner despite facing verbal and physical abuse. Shawn admitted to killing Whyte-Barrington, a Jamaican hairdresser, during a gathering at the old Hitachi Centre on November 14, 2020. However, he portrayed himself as a victim of aggressive behaviour.

The trial continued on Thursday before Justice Tunde Bakre, with closing arguments. The jury is expected to return a verdict later this week.

  2. Maybe he didn’t intended to kill her but things boil over and nobody was there to separate or cool any of them down. Maybe he could have been the one died if he didnt get the upper hand. He said she was aggressive towards him. Who know maybe the bully lost and it all ended sad for him. That guy wasn’t a murderer he was a good guy but he should have learned his lesson and move on. Sometimes people’s behavior does put the weapon in your hand just walk away and i believe him wanting what he invested in to work was his demise.

  3. I honestly believe the guy but that doesn’t mean he should kill her. Foreign women now a days is best left alone…go local or not at all

  4. I used to hear his name a lot for making trouble, getting kicked out of parties. Don’t know if he changed recently but even if she was “abusive”…how much danger can your life be in from a HAIRDRESSER? Supposed he had been with a female police officer?

    • not just a “hairdresser”
      She was JAMAICAN.

Don’t know if the stereotype is true in this case…..but……yeah JAMAICAN have a certain reputation
