Public Works Minister Eustace ‘Teco’ Lake has secured a kidney and told Antigua
News Room (ANR) that he is working on setting a date for the transplant surgery.
The MP said he was last quoted a bill in excess of $175,000 and he has already paid a portion of the amount.
According to Lake, he may choose to have the surgery done in either Trinidad or
Antigua.
In January, Lake was reportedly put on life support after falling ill. It was later reported that the MP was suffering from kidney issues.

I have not spoken to anyone from the Party in relation to my cost associated but I was given a bill for a test that I will need to do which is approximately the cost TT above. It can’t be done in Antigua and has to be done outside of Antigua. However, accuracy is important in journalism for public consumption.
