Our community has once again been plunged into mourning at the senseless killing of Nikisha Rose, a hardworking mother. I wish to convey sincere condolences to her family.
Crime and violence is of serious concern. All of us as citizens and residents of Antigua and Barbuda have a role to play in fighting this scourge on our society. The nation must be united against crime and violence – no finger-pointing. All interest groups must have a seat at the table to devise a crime fighting strategy, in an effort to rid our streets of illegal guns.
If we see something, we must say something. Let’s help the police in solving this murder. The perpetrators must be brought to justice. If you have information, please contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).

Sir the entire Antigua is not riddled with crime- drugs , criminals activities etc. These type of activities are common in the ghetto. This can be attributed to Education, poverty etc. Hence as the MP for the area you have to work diligently and be innovative to uplift your constituency. Worst yet your party is not in power and under this undemocratic system of government , those in power only look about their constituencies.
Just have to face the reality of the situation.
The govt of A&B need to let the citizens of Antigua rain down bullets on these criminals. Prayers and thoughts not working. Let us use electric fencing, razor wire, allow us to use booby traps and snare to kill themselves scum when. They trespass on our property. Give us powers like open carry and stand your ground laws like they have in Florida. The same way they are killing people we need to return the fire and unalived them all. Let god sort. Them out.. they want to live by violence then let us end their lives by violence. It’s the only thing these imbeciles will understand. Life is wasted on them.

@Frankly speaking. Crime is rampant across all of Antigua. It’s just that people with better means seek to have better protection, tend to avoid certain persons and places of entertainment. However, it is not far-fetched that you could have an encounter with one of these gun-weilding fools and become a victim. Point is: no one is safe unless all is safe. That is true for Grays farm or Hodges Bay.

Crooked politicians, crooked law enforcement agencies, guns, drugs and other illicit activities conducted by seemingly legal enterprises are the main drivers of criminality in any society. All of these are in plain sight twenty four hours, seven days per week in the 2-Six-8 now.
Therefore the Nation will keep picking up the pieces once the aftershocks subside.
The UNDERWORLD is speaking like an 8.0 EARTHQUAKE. Incidents like these are simply the rumblings under the sea.

@Frankly speaking the people of “ghetto” iare the pawns, as in chess who are sacrificed to protect those who are labeled as elites. The majority of contrabands from guns, drugs, humans who are trafficked to support the bud in the hole prostitution establishments are controlled by your elites.
Speaking of prostitution why is it your elites who are operating this budding business establish them in your “ghettos” for them and their friends to enjoy while leaving their wives and husbands at home in their suburbia?
Your “ghettos” carry the Nation on its back and build it for the elites just like their fore-parents who were enslaved did by the elites did.
