Here is the New Year’s message from Richard Lewis, MP for St. John’s Rural West
Happy New Year!
We are immensely thankful to God for His grace and mercy that brought us through 2024. We pray for God’s guidance and blessings as we start the New Year.
We remember the numerous citizens and residents who left us in 2024. We thank God for their lives and pray for comfort for the bereaved families and friends.
As we reflect on the changing scenes of 2024, and embark on the uncertainties of 2025, many of us desire change in many aspects of life here in Antigua and Barbuda. The change begins with each of us, endeavouring to be better citizens and residents of our dear nation.
Let us be the change we want to see. Let us demonstrate love for country – country above self and country above partisan politics.
I pray for a New Year filled with joy, prosperity, health, wellness, and strength for you and your family. I pray for a New Year where the divide between the rich and the poor is narrowed.
I pray for a New Year where the cost of living is significantly reduced, and for a decent standard of living for all.
For 2025 and beyond, I pray for 20/20 vision for all our leaders (Government and Opposition) so that Antigua and Barbuda can be the place where truly we can say: “Each Endeavouring, All Achieving!” I pray for togetherness, as together we can build a better nation and ensure a brighter future for our children and our children’s children.
My fellow residents of St. John’s Rural West, in these challenging times, I have tried my best to serve you well in 2024. As we move forward into 2025, I will continue to strongly advocate on your behalf.
We, the residents of St. John’s Rural West deserve our fair share of infrastructure and services. The Central Government owes it to us. I will continue to lobby the Central Government and its agencies, on your behalf, for needed infrastructure and services. We are all in this together.
My family and I take this opportunity to wish the citizens and residents of Antigua and Barbuda, especially the residents of St. John’s Rural West, a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2025.
May God continue to grant us His blessings.
Happy New Year!
