As a parent, my heart is aching at the disappearance of Chantel Crump, a minor from the Rural West community. No stone should be left unturned in our efforts to bring Chantel safely home.
There is something strange happening in our nation with an unprecedented number of missing persons. There is a need for greater community policing. This means that our police officers must be provided with the resources and tools to ensure that they can execute their duties in a more effective and efficient manner.
Today, we are in the Parliament (Select Committee Meeting) looking at a new Police Act. It is hoped that a new Police Act will provide for greater and better policing in Antigua and Barbuda.
As parents, we need to step up our vigilance to ensure the increased security of our children. My prayers and support are with Chantel‘s family and our community at large.
