St. John’s Rural East MP Maria Bird Browne has made community development and infrastructure improvements central to her re-election campaign.
Browne highlighted progress over the past two years, particularly in roadworks and local facilities. She said addressing persistent drainage and flooding in areas such as the Gardens and Sutherland will be a priority, guided by technical assessments from hydrology experts.
She also outlined plans for a housing renewal initiative, transforming abandoned or underused land into new residential developments aimed at revitalising older neighbourhoods.

At the end of the day, voters will judge her not just on promises but on progress made over the past term. The campaign seems well thought out, but delivery is key.
