MP Lewis Provides Temporary Road Relief in Gray’s Hill, Presses for Permanent Fix

Opposition MP Richard S. Lewis says residents of Gray’s Hill are growing increasingly frustrated over the condition of their roads, warning that both motorists and pedestrians have been put at risk.

In a social media post, Lewis said residents in the area have been “crying out for well-needed roadworks,” but alleged that authorities have not responded to their concerns.

He noted that, in the meantime, he assisted in providing temporary relief to address some of the immediate issues affecting the roadway.

Lewis said the intervention is not a long-term solution and indicated he will continue advocating for permanent repairs.

“The work continues,” he wrote, signaling ongoing efforts to push for improvements in the community.

Residents have long raised concerns about deteriorating road conditions in parts of St. John’s Rural West, with calls for upgrades to improve safety and accessibility.

  1. oh please! not even this can endear Gisele to him. The biggest sin….the UNPARDONABLE SIN that Richard Lewis ever committed was choosing a “yardie” to marry.

    JAMAICAN WIFE
    JAMAICAN SON
    JAMAICAN DAUGHTER
He himself act more Jamiacan than them

  2. What does who he married or the nationality of his children and wife have to do with asking the government to fix the roads in the constituency? I am an Antiguian by birth, including my parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. There is a time and a place for such comment, but not now. Let’s focus on getting the roads infrastructure in Antigua and Barbuda all fixed.

  4. @Donna Can’t logic with mad people left them to make a fool out of themselves. Lewis is currently one of the MPs I hold with higher respect for doing what he can even when the government is actively working against him just so they can win his seat but pointing “look he haven’t done anything for y’all what has he done” type situation.

  5. Rural West, look and see!!!!
You are paying for making the right choice.
You have elected the BEST parliamentary representative possible.
He is a man of and for the people.
He takes his work more seriously than simple advocacy.
He puts his hands to the plough.
The labour party has assessed him.
They have seen that he CANNOT be defeated by their candidate whenever an elections is called.
As such Gaston is putting into action his stated intention.
I remind all of Antigua that this prime minister said that constituencies which rejected his party should fall to the back of the line.
Well he realized that Honorable Richard Lewis is not will nor ready to fall to the back of the line.
So he is PUSHING the constituency there.
Rural West is lead by the toughest, most determined, hardest working, most dedicated and realest parliamentarian.
Gaston ah go tured fu see his face!!!!!
