Opposition MP Richard S. Lewis says residents of Gray’s Hill are growing increasingly frustrated over the condition of their roads, warning that both motorists and pedestrians have been put at risk.
In a social media post, Lewis said residents in the area have been “crying out for well-needed roadworks,” but alleged that authorities have not responded to their concerns.
He noted that, in the meantime, he assisted in providing temporary relief to address some of the immediate issues affecting the roadway.
Lewis said the intervention is not a long-term solution and indicated he will continue advocating for permanent repairs.
“The work continues,” he wrote, signaling ongoing efforts to push for improvements in the community.
Residents have long raised concerns about deteriorating road conditions in parts of St. John’s Rural West, with calls for upgrades to improve safety and accessibility.

@Donna Can’t logic with mad people left them to make a fool out of themselves. Lewis is currently one of the MPs I hold with higher respect for doing what he can even when the government is actively working against him just so they can win his seat but pointing “look he haven’t done anything for y’all what has he done” type situation.
