St. Mary’s South MP Hon. Kelvin Simon has pledged to address pressing issues in the constituency as he welcomed 2025 with a message of resilience and hope.

Highlighting ongoing struggles with deteriorating roads, water shortages, and under-resourced facilities like the Johnston’s Point pharmacy and Bolans’ clinic, Simon called for urgent action to improve the quality of life for residents.

Simon reaffirmed his commitment to promises made during the by-election, including upgrades to Bolans’ playfield, improved school infrastructure, and financial support for small businesses.

While recognizing the government’s reports of economic growth, he noted that many in St. Mary’s South have yet to benefit.

“This year holds the promise of new opportunities for our community,” Simon said, urging residents to unite and work towards a brighter future. His message emphasized the strength of St. Mary’s South, grounded in its people’s resilience and determination.

  1. I like shuggy enthusiasm but if the leadership direction in upp is not fixed institutionally all members are seen as week, me ah wan voter and citizen spectator and the morale of the country is down when it comes to Pringle, and the radio try it best with zizzy but it need new material, and cut away from the static replay of same old music and inactive station.

    • what “enthusiasm”???? You think that’s all it takes??? Why don’t you ask the good PREACHERMAN APOSTLE WINKUP SHIRTLESS Clown why he BOYCOTT George Wehner Nomination Day? Just like his leader richard, he is NOT A TEAMPLAYER!!!

  2. What has he done since the by- election of October 2023? He did claim to have investors who were willing to aid in projects of he won. Well, he did, and has not contributed in the Lower House as he should. All he seems to do is bash the government with no alternative plan. Sen. Dwayne George has been actively working in the constituency. Not even a clean-up campaign has been initiated by the Hon. Simon guy.
You’re playing on the fears of the constituents without any substance.

  3. Is this guy for real? We need a bi election in SMS again, we really need to get rid of this guy. Lack of representation in full effect. Shugy I beg u to hush ur mouth u r the biggest mistake SMS ever made. Get ur act together u r a no show in our constituency. We only see the Labour Party candidate from cleaning up to feeding ppl. Shugy tell us what are u doing for the Constituency talking about vow. You won the seat shouldn’t u be doing something for the people.

  4. Shugy are u even in Antigua to know what us actually going on on the ground. U have neglected your responsibilities to the constituents from not representing the people in parliament to spending the constituency allowance on plane ride. U r out the door next election. I voted for u to give you a chance but now u got the chance, u r showing me that I wasted my vote. Not u again we are not doing another election with complaints and finger pointing, we want to see effort and u r not showing us any at all

  5. U promised and won the seat he promised and lost the seat. It’s ur responsibility to full fill ur promises. Dwayne George is a caretaker not even a candidate as yet and u shugy is the representative that up to this time can’t represent the people. A waste of time and a wasted vote, not me again

  6. I’m sick of these news from shugy, this man thinks for him to represent the people he just needed to point out what the Senator promised. Big man that is not representation, I am so sorry for u. Gaston Browne help us in the south please call a bi election again. We are sorry that we didn’t vote for Dwayne George, we really need an MP. Shugy is a complete waste of time.
