During a monthly community meeting in Yorks, our Parliamentary Representative, the Hon. Charles ‘Max’ Fernandez congratulated the Friday brothers for their heroic actions when they rescued a teenager from drowning on Easter Monday at the Sand Haven beach.
Akeem, Wayne, Withney Friday, and Pierre Cooke selflessly rescued the young man from what could’ve been another unfortunate tragedy.
MP Fernandez paused the community meeting last night to acknowledge the actions of the young Yorks residents and praised them for their heroism.
Each were presented with a certificate dubbed the “Yorks Hero Award” and read, “For your heroic effort in the rescue of a drowning man on Monday 18th April 2022.
Your Community is proud of you!”
