The motorist reported that he had stopped at a local restaurant to purchase food and returned to his white van.
As he approached his vehicle, a man dressed entirely in black reportedly opened the passenger door and brandished a firearm.
The assailant demanded the vehicle key, prompting the quick-thinking motorist to jump from his van to evade the threat.
The criminals sped off in the stolen white van, now bearing license plate number C 2175, leaving the motorist unharmed but shaken.
Law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the incident and have appealed to the public for assistance.
Police are urging anyone with information related to these crimes to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or provide anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
As a precautionary measure, residents in the affected areas are advised to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.

Wow!!
Happy new year everyone!!!
If we love ourselves & this country, the police & us have to work in solidarity to combat these criminals……. When caught the court should not have any mercy on them. They are tormenting the citizens & residents too much now.
The only time crime in Antigua and Barbuda is taken seriously is when tourists, Syrians, Caucasian, and the affluent people are affected.
We have the safest country in the Caribbean, if not the world. Suppose we were ranked somewhere in the middle?
Such an abundance of crimes inundating these news feeds. Fats Benjamin says we’re the safest country in the Caribbean, so expect it to deteriorate. Wow! This is scary! Lord have mercy!
Look at all the crimes that are on the news today. Carjacking, motorvehicle theft, robbery, assault, battery, kidnapping, false imprisonment, burglary, etcetera.
My recommendations literally eliminate these kinds of opportunities for those criminal acts.
Please listen and contact me for the help. It is for free.
Based on how bold these criminals are become as you can see today from all the news, and from my crime prediction research and results, a bank is the next target and it is going to be deadly.
Criminals impersonating officers, carjacking, robbery, etcetera. The best evidence that shows there is a lack of opportunity reduction tactics in Antigua policing that only my strategy can eliminate/mitigate can be seen from the crimes published today and those in recent times.
