The mother of Khaleel Simon, the 18-year-old shot and killed by police in Bolans, says she has been left without answers and intends to intensify demands for justice with another public demonstration.
Following a recent meeting with investigators, she reported that her concerns about the circumstances of the shooting were not addressed.
Questions about why her son was killed and whether the officer involved had been suspended, she said, went unanswered.

Instead of clarity, the family left the meeting with a deep sense of frustration.
Relatives maintain that Simon was innocent and argue that the lack of official responses shows a failure of accountability.
They believe that the justice system is not moving with urgency and say the absence of clear information has compounded their grief.
The family has vowed to keep the issue in the public eye until concrete answers are provided.
They insist that Simon’s death cannot be overlooked and that the officer’s actions must be scrutinized fully.
Supporters will return to the streets on Monday at 3 p.m. for another protest outside Police Headquarters in St. John’s.
Organizers say the demonstration is part of a wider push to ensure that Simon’s death is investigated transparently and that measures are taken to prevent similar incidents.
The upcoming action follows earlier protests and continued debate over police accountability and the relationship between law enforcement and communities. For Simon’s family, the central demand remains the same: answers and justice for their son.

Why don’t they protest at the AG office? Kudos to the acting commissioner Jeffers for speaking to the protestors. Condolences to the family.
protest the AGs office for what??? the AG shat anybody?
Tyey need to arrest the police officer, kahleel did not have a gun and that Anika girl needs to be arrested as well she is the reason behind of it all …. she lied on kahleel saying he had a gun , she very wicked. All of them gonna perish in hell . I haven’t hear the pm or attorney general said statements surrounding this case
Beautiful photo! mom and handsome son, but let me say this again once your teenage sons name is associated with the word gun that’s a negative. No one knows why he was truly being chase by officers, but it will eventually comes out.
As for me i learn long time ago if am confidently innocent, running from an officer especially one holding a gun is a NO.
Yes it was reckless shooting by the police but if police was that good at aiming, every police shootings around the world would be in legs.
Justice for a truly innocent child of the ghetto Chantel.
The news article say Khaleel is 20, actually he is 18 years old. Official rumors had it, that Khaleel had a romantic relationship with the police girlfriend, and this may have led to this unfortunate incident.
Kahleel was 18 years old. He was killed on his 18th birthday…. 18!!!! NOT 23 and NOT 20!! Get yall facts right
This is such a powerful and heartbreaking story. The mother’s words highlight exactly why so many people feel uneasy about how this case has been handled so far. A grieving parent should not have to leave a meeting with the Commissioner more confused than before that undermines trust in the process and raises even more red flags.
This shows exactly why people have no trust in the system. Justice delayed and questions unanswered only deepen the wound
The public deserves transparency, and the family deserves clear answers. If the police expect the community to cooperate and feel safe, they must show accountability, honesty, and empathy in situations like this.
Maam, please go to a LAWYER. U have 6 months from the act. Act quickly.
As a mother me feel um, me wouldn’t tap till justice, but this is antigua, and we know what the outcome of this will be sad to say. Mummy dear its sad and heartbreaking, but just get your bby boy organized for his send off, trust me I know its not easy.
