Mother of Missing Girl Pleads for Her Safe Return
The mother of missing girl Chantel is pleading for her daughter’s safe return after the young girl disappeared under concerning circumstances on her way home from school.
According to the distressed mother, Chantel had just gotten off the bus when she was seen walking down the road with two other children. As the group split up, one child turned off at an office, another at a high place, and Chantel continued along her route. Shortly after, a young girl stopped the mother and informed her that Chantel had entered a vehicle.
“I asked, ‘Are you sure?’ and she said yes,” the mother recounted. “I was so frustrated—I went back up the road, then came back down again. Then three little boys told me the same thing: Chantel got into a silver vehicle. They saw her wave at a little girl, and the girl waved back.”
Chantel’s mother described her as a quiet child who had never gotten into a vehicle with strangers before. Usually, she is dropped off at King George and walks home, making this an unusual and alarming occurrence. She also confirmed that no family members or close acquaintances were expected to pick Chantel up that day.
With a heavy heart, the mother directed an emotional plea to whoever may have her daughter: “Please bring her back. I can’t sleep, I’m restless. Please.”
Family members and community members have been tirelessly searching for Chantel, covering multiple areas in hopes of finding any clues about her whereabouts. “We’re going to search more today,” the mother said, as she and her relatives prepared to continue their efforts.
The search has been ongoing since Chantel was reported missing yesterday afternoon. The mother, identified as Ernest Crump, urges the public to assist in any way possible. “If anyone has seen anything, please help me find my daughter. And if someone has taken her, please, I beg you—return her safely.”
Authorities are involved, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police immediately. The community remains on high alert as the search for Chantel continues.
