Mother Calls for Investigation After Teen Allegedly Assaulted by Teacher at Princess Margaret School

A mother is demanding a full investigation after her teenage son was allegedly assaulted by a teacher at the Princess Margaret School, leaving him with facial swelling and requiring medical attention.

The incident reportedly occurred last Thursday when the student went to speak with his form teacher about a previous suspension. The teacher allegedly accused him of inappropriate contact and reacted by striking him across the face.

The student is said to have returned to his classroom following the altercation. His mother later discovered that his face was swollen and contacted the school’s administration. When she met with the principal and assistant principal the following day, they reportedly had no prior knowledge of the incident.

A meeting was later held, and the student was instructed to prepare a written report on what had taken place. The mother sought medical attention for her son and has expressed concern that the teacher acted without verifying the facts before taking physical action.

Lambert is calling on the Ministry of Education to conduct a thorough investigation. She maintains that no teacher has the right to physically assault a student, especially over an unconfirmed allegation.

  1. This is bullshit!!! She strike him in the face smh lady your lucky your calling for justice I would a find her an beat her down

  2. Very likely that the student committed the infraction and received the unfortunate consequence for his action. Why did he not indiignantly report the matter to the Head and/or the Deputy Head immediately following the incident, especially knowing, as he claimed, that he was innocent!? It is obvious too, that he did not immediately inform his mother who “later discovered that his face was swollen” So now in typical Antigua fashion, the student is about to be elevated to martyr status and the mother will no doubt milk her fifteen minutes of fame for all that it’s worth. Yes Johnny was a good little boy, a good little boy was he…… I wonder just how many of mommy’s good little boys are currently dead or serving time up at 1735ì!

  3. The same way you would find the techer at PMS and beat her is tge same thing going to happen when you all un manerly male children kill and chop up other students, is the same way the family will take justice in their own hand and deal with them when they get 3 years in jail. Something happened at PMS with a student and a teacher and before you all hear the other side of the story you all chatting crap. The reason why he didn’t report the matter to his mother when he return home is because something went wrong somewhere. PMS and Ottos comprehensive school breed a lot of young criminal males students

  4. Do people really think people go into teaching to beat people’s children? Neither child nor parents have manners these days…and since when it’s a child’s place to inquire of teacher about a previous suspension? Shouldn’t the mother or the child have contacted the principal or jointly addressed the teacher if they had a dispute? This sounds like the child went to make trouble with the teacher for disciplining him (as teachers should be able to do) but who na hear will feel? The mother now jumping in to cover for her poor parenting

  5. This generation of teachers too quick to lose their temper. Bring back proper training in conflict resolution

  6. Schools need to install cameras in classrooms. Too many “he say, she say” situations damaging reputations.

  7. If it is found that he wasn’t the one who touched the teacher would there be an apology.because that’s one hell of a slap Mr get

  8. I feel like I’m going crazy, Shermain, tell me I’m dreaming. I wouldn’t have wronged the young man to slap he back. First and foremost if the young man touched your bottom you take the matter to the principal not slap him. This is some kind of hate

  9. Seem like this is a troubled boy …detention and all. But doesnt mean that he was the one who touched her.

  10. Lemme get this one straight. The teacher accused a student of something as serious as touching her buttocks, slap him and nobody calls the parents or reports it to the principal? How are we in 2025 still dealing with this kind of thing? Whether the accusation true or not, there are protocols investigations, statements, witnesses. You don’t hit a child over a rumour and then pretend like nothing happen. The boy had a swollen face, and we calling that “discipline”? Nah man. Teachers are supposed to be protectors, not prosecutors. If a student had raised a hand to a teacher, police would be at the gate before the bell ring. But when it’s the other way around, everything hush-hush and “under investigation.” Antigua’s education system needs serious reform cameras in classrooms, accountability, and real training on emotional control. These are people’s children, not punching bags. And the Ministry better not sweep this one under the rug, because too many of these stories get buried until another child ends up traumatized.

  11. Absolutely unacceptable. A teacher slapping a student over an unproven accusation is assault, plain and simple.

  12. LOL Yet you are here. I just come for the comments, BTW. Especially yours. Old men have a great sence of humour

  13. Ah yes, the expert on news reporting strikes again. must’ve missed the part where the video explains everything.

  14. There was a time when children fear teachers and the level of respect shown was unmatched yet lick use to fling left right and centre. It made most of us what we are today.. now these children and there parents dont have no respect for teachers. But we still asking teachers to remain professional? Smh yes, no teacher then would hit a child in his or her face and neither would a child even think of touching a teacher. So where do we go wrong?

  15. I am waiting to hear what happened because I was not there
However it is strange that neither the teacher nor the Student said anything.
Let us please understand that we don’t have to pick a side, they Both can be wrong at the same time.
    Clearly
    1. A child went to ask about a suspension?
2.A teacher slapping a child in the face?
    3.Teacher didn’t report?
    4.Child didn’t report?
    Something is off

  16. Parents are the problem in education
Most of these parents can’t even talk to their children. The child should have gotten two more slaps.
