The Cabinet agreed to allocate an additional US$100,000 towards the Festivals Commission for the planning of carnival and to clear the old debt.
The funds are from the Citizenship by Investment Programme.
Outstanding amounts, totaling EC$7 million dollars, owed to suppliers of goods and services from previous Carnivals, “will be reduced significantly as the July to August 2018 events get closer,” the Cabinet agreed.
